India’s Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2025 at our school with great enthusiasm.
The national flag was hoisted by the President of the school Dr Krishan Prasad. The assembled students sang the Naada Geete, and the National Anthem and saluted the flag with reverence. There was a march past and a drill in which students of all classes participated with joy. The Physical Training teacher Ms. Aditi guided the students in these activities. Students gave speeches in Kannada and English explaining the significance of the Independence Day. Tiny tots also participated in a fancy dress competition where they were encouraged to dress like any freedom fighter. Children came dressed like Dr Ambedkar, Kitoor Rani Chennamma, Pt. Nehru, an Indian Soldier etc. Committee members were present and they literally the lamp and honoured the portrait of Bharat Mata and Mahatma Gandhi ji.
The celebration was a success and the purpose was to instill a national fervour and a sense of patriotism in the students.
